Redken's "Cut-a-Thon to Benefit City of Hope Brings Beauty to the Big Apple
If you regularly check out the AdviceSisters Beauty/Style/Fashion Forums in the last couple of weeks, you had a heads' up that fabulous REDKEN was going to be holding its annual Cut-A-Thon on June 6, 2008 from 8:00-4:00pm on a first-come, first-served basis, at the chic, Redken Exchange (5th Ave between 46th and 47th streets in Manhattan ).
For a minimum donation of $30, men and women not only got a chance to check out the chic, Redken exchange and get great new look, they got a gift bag of essential Redken products, customized for their hair type.
At 4:00 p.m., when I arrived at the end of the vent, there was still an air of excitement (and a long line) outside the Redken Exchange, with women and men eager to look great for a Friday night out. Inside, bone-tired stylists who had worked hard from sunup to literally, sundown, danced in the aisles and sang along with the music to keep their energy up.
When I last checked, this event had raised over $15,000...I'll get the actual statistics from Redken hopefully, today, and share them with you.
Check out the Advice Sisters Forums regularly, to discover what else is going on in the Big Apple. And, if you're not living in NYC, you'll still find plenty of contests, tips, and information to make life easier, more successful, and more fun!
