Douglas Hannant’s runway featured arches of vibrant, autumn leaves and a carpet of actual leaves that made it look as though models were strolling through a forest. But the clothes were anything but hiking gear. Ladylike day and cocktail dresses channeled a restrained society woman’s wardrobe, from a long kilt to riding pants, and a lot of tweeds. But for evening, the collection featured vibrant colors, luxurious fabrics, and lots of “back interest.”
