Accessories finish an outfit. It doesn’t matter if it’s a designer gown, or swimsuit cover up, a nice handbag or a glittery necklace makes an ordinary outfit, extraordinary. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great look, nor do you have to settle for chintzy quality. Avon has tons of affordable accesories, even shoes, that look good and are nice quality–believe it! Peruse the AVON web site and you’ll be amazed at how many cute, on-trendy accessories you will want to buy. Here are a few examples of easy, inexpensive ways to spiff up even last year’s warm weather outfits:
Flowers bloom not just in gardens, but on a lovely, full sized handbag from Avon. The laminated, straw-like fabric is is a polyurethaned plastic-like fabric that can be wiped clean with a slightly dampened cloth. The handles are just long enough to wear close to your armpit on your shoulder, or as a handheld bag. There’s a magnetic-snap closure and the bag is fully lined in a soft cloth fabric, featuring one zip and two slip pockets. This handbag is a very versatile size that is large enough to hold all your regular purse items, and maybe a water bottle and some sun block as well, at 10″ H x 13 1/4″ W; handle drop, 9″ L. but it’s not so large that it’s a tote. It’s a great weekend bag or fun for the casual office. The hot pink is lovely, but the natural beige goes with everything. This cute and cheerful handbag has a suggested retail price of $39.99 but on the website at the time of this review, for a sale price of $19.99—an accessory bargain!
That’s an amazingly beautiful peridot” exclaimed a woman at an Expo event, who told me she used to sell jewelry. I almost didn’t have the heart to tell her that it was not a peridot, but just a very nice piece of costume jewelry. This bold CZ rope ring from AVON ($19.99) gives you the look for a pricey, statement ring, but at a steal of a price, and a size that is still appropriate to wear in the daytime. A shiny silver -tone rope elegantly encircles a big, blinged-out CZ that you can get in either purple, clear or my favorite, lime green. The stone is equivalent to a 5 3/4 carat diamond and it catches the light and sparkles like crazy!
FYI: All of Avon’s jewelry is nickel-free for those with sensitive skin & allergies to nickel. The ring comes in sizes 7-9 so bit if you have slim finger, you’ll still be able to wear it on a pointer finger.
This is the season of “citrus” colors, but also of lime green.
The Citrus trend is so hot right now, but along with orange and lemon, comes lime. Make a scene in green (or blue, or purple) with a delicate necklace of bezel-set, square, faceted stones. AVON’s Harbor Lights Necklace and Earring Gift Set #1143841 for just$19.99 adds a finishing touch to any outfit. The silver chain is 18″ with a 2″ extender to make it a choker or a longer. Five faceted square stones sparkle in silvery settings. The look is delicate but not tiny. Two smaller square green stones dangle from a bit of silvery chain to make the matching earrings twinkle on your ears. Silvery ear wires with a clip keep the earrings secure, even when you’re dancing or moving about. A matching ring (sold separately) keeps you completely, coordinated. This would be a nice accessory and inexpensive thank-you for your bridal party, or for your weekend hostess.
Watches can do a lot more than tell you that it’s time for work, lunch or your yoga class. This one from Avon called simply, the Summer Coolers Watch ($34.99) will easily be your Summertime favorite. The watch is an eye-catching, blinged-out beauty that has plenty of bells and whistles to make it special, even if it was priced much higher than it is. Inside the shiny, silver watch case with maroon face, are floating charms in the shape of a lime and a lemon slice. Glittery crystals in pink, yellow, champane, and green, glitter and tinkle as they move around underneath the watch crystal. In fact, I call this my “sangria watch” because the fruits and crystals on top of the wine-tinted background just reminds me of that Summer cooler. Numbers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 plus a second hand, make it easy to read the time. The watch has a rather substantial, metal link band, and something I really like: instead of having to dis-assemble the band to remove links, you simply remove one of the two clasps by unclipping it. That makes life so much easier and makes the watch fit more wrists, nicely. The back is stainless steel and the movement is made in Japan, where they appreciate being precisely on time. This watch will get people asking “That is SO CUTE! Where did you get that watch?!”
The dragonfly is a quintessential symbol of Summer. This lovely Dragonfly Dance Necklace is just $14.99. A tiny dragonfly with sparkling crystals on it’s wings hovers atop a “flower” of a clear, pink or blue CZ, and hangs from a delicate, silvery chain.
