I admit it: I lost my Essie Summer Collection as I had to move from my office in NY, to the mountains of Pennsylvania (it’s a temporary move while my office is being renovated, but I could only take with me what I could stuff quickly into a suitcase — and that’s another story, entirely). But the Essie Color Collection for Summer 2012 is still gracing the fingers and toes of those who know. At just $8.00 a bottle, Essie Nail Polish is the fashionista’s favorite at salons around the country.
It’s not too late to enjoy the Essie colors for Summer. Kids may be going back to school, and the days may be getting shorter again, but these colors are cheerful and add that certain something to an early Fall wardrobe that isn’t full of down and fur and wool, just yet. For example, one of the colors in this collection is ”All Tied Up,” and it’s no shade of grey (pupn intended). But it is billed as a “naughty molten bronze,” that I call an intense rosewood. It will work well with fading tans of Summer, and with Tweets into the Fall and Winter. It’s a reviewer’s favorite.
“Bikini so Teeny” is a clear sheer light baby blue (two or three coats make it opaque). While blue isn’t something everyone has easily embraced, show your fashion sense by pairing it with blue pumps, or mix it with color-blocked clothing and look “in step” for late Summer to Fall.
“Off the Shoulder” is hot pink, but one that is clear and bright, nowhere near neon (that’s so last season already). It is a fun alternative to red now and perhaps, forever.
Who doesn’t love mojitos?! “Mojito Madness” is a pretty green, light and clear. It might be a bit Summery, but pair it with color-blocked clothing, or green pumps (they are so trendy now) and you will be in fashion now through the Fall.
“ Fear or Desire” is one of those colors that you either love, or loathe. I personaly adore this super-bright orange that is nearly the color of a satefy vest, but while it’s eye-scoringly bright, it’s fun for those who like to experiment with bold pops of color.
“ Cacade” cool is a frosty, shimmery, carnation pink, always in style.
All Essie nail polishes are 3-free -No DBP, formaldehyde, or toluene. The colors range from classic to trendy, and they apply easily and wear well. Essie is a favorite in salons (and makeup drawers), everywhere! To find out more visit www.essie.com.
