When designers are thinking about their runway show for the next season, one of the elements that have to consider, along with makeup and nails, is the hair look. While the clothes are the “fashion stars,” a good hair look that expresses the designer’s vision for the clothes, can help spell success or disaster.
If you aren’t sure how hair can impact a runway look, think back to 2008, andYves Saint Laurent’s Fall 2008 cap of dramatic black hair, with black lipstick to match. Would this look be as dramatic and memorable if the model was just wearing her hair down and loose? I doubt it!
Which brings me to the real point of this feature, Suave Beauty’s involvement in the new and exciting television show: Fashion Star. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s one of the most innovative of the fashion “reality” shows out there. It’s hosted by supermodel Elle Macpherson with star power from the likes of Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie who both have their own fashion enterprises. The designers not only get to compete to see who is best, they compete for contracts that put their designs in actual retail stores like H&M, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macys. The sleek, brushed silver container with hot pink spray top looks chic and fun to use, but inside is a powerful, long lasting finishing spray that lets you still shape your hair and push it into final position. The spray also helps keep frizz and flyaways down, and that’s going to be even more critical as the temperature rises and humidity gets harder to deal with.
