Givenchy's Prisme Custom Color To Adore NOW

Whenever I try cosmetics by Givenchy, I know they're going to have a "wow!" factor. For Spring 2010 Givenchy does not disappoint! The company has not only created a large collection of prisme powder shadows, blush, bronzers, and foundation, but they have also tweaked the already luxurious compacts they are housed in a new, clap & slide” mirrored compact for the face products (the lower drawer slides out to reveal the very use able powder, brush, with soft, wide and contoured bristles). I am hooked!
What does Givenchy have in store for it's fans, this Spring? Let's start with the eyes. There are 16 new quartets of color in chic, square, black mirrored compacts (with the Givenchy logo over a silver, mirrored background). What makes these super-special is that the four colors are not just the same color in different intensities, they have different formulas: matte, light pearl, intense pearl, and "sequined" (super-shimmer) formulas. You can use one, two, three or all four. In fact the paper insert in the box shows you easy, "paint by the numbers" looks for day and evening that you can make with just the one palette. You will have a hard time choosing just one as they're all beautiful: 01 Showy Black; 02 New Look Mauve; 03 Hip Grey ; 04 Must-Have Blue; 05 Stylish Green; 06 Chic Coral: 07 Fashion Pink: 08 Fancy Coffee: 09 Modish Brown: 10 Smart Nude: 11 Dressy Indigo: 12 Casual Khaki 13: Trendy Plum 14 : Elegant Taupe: 15 Couture Beige; and 16 Signature White.

For Spring, Givenchy has added a few colors to it's already nice palette when it comes to it's Parad'Eyes Liner $27.00 and Phenomen'Eyes-Extension Mascara $29.00. This time the shade is a limited edition purple called #8 "Purple Impression." This amazing mascara has a ball tip instead of traditional bristles. It looks like a Medieval instrument of torture, but it gets every single lash AND it lines as well. A couple of passes with this mascara and you look like your lashes are Fiercely "faux!" The Liner is also lovely, two limited edition liquid liners #9 Nude Impression"( nude with gold particles that looks almost like rose gold). and and # 8 "Mauve Impression" (nude with pink shimmer that looks parti-pink and perfect).

For the face, there are an almost dizzying array of blush, bronzers and foundations:

If you skin tends to be a bit shiny, or if you just want a more matte look, Mister Mat is your perfect base. It comes in a black, matte tube with white lettering that is unisex enough for guys to use it too. Even if they don't wear foundation, this product will take the edge off shine (good for bald spots and foreheads, too). I like the clear gel that has a really velvety texture, (LOVE it)! And, for touch-ups on areas that need, it, you can't go wrong with Givenchy's Mister Light $32.00. This concealer/corrector is in an easy to use, click it pen with brush top and comes in six shades. There's also Mister Bright $32.00 in "Moonlight" (opalescent pearl) and "Dawnlight" (with pearly pink) and for golden tones, Mr. Bright #72 "sunlight" (with golden tones). Illuminate your face with a creamy product featuring a high concentration of tiny white mother-of- pearl for a lit-from-within, translucent glow. They're mightier than a sword, when helping you to undo some of the tell-tale signs of late night partying, diffusing imperfections and drawing attention away from lines, spots, and shadows. These are totally tote-able, too.

Le Prisme Blush $43.00 arrives with four squares of blend able, sheer color in a small, square compact featuring the Givenchy logo over a pink metallic background. This blush has a higher pigment concentration for your cheeks. Use the "quatuor" (or 4 shades) alone, or swirled on together. TIP: The blush's upper right shade is the reference shade for the final result when mixing altogether. For deep complexions, #26 "Fashionista Brown" offers warm colors of rust, brown, and nude and #25 "In Vogue Orange" is a bright quartet of peaches that I like individually as well as together. #23 "Aficionado Peach" is slightly deeper, but in the same color quartet.

The Prisme Sun Mat & Glow looks like a pop art painting, with nine squares of coordinated bronzing color in one, square compact (6 matte and 3 shimmer). These are arranged in varying shades from dark to light so you can blend, highlight just use them all to "glow" without having to carry so many products around with you. The formula is lightweight and sheer, so you won't end up looking crazy if you are over-enthusiastic with your bronzer brush! The top of the square, mirrored compact has the Givenchy Logo in black, over a background of holographic orange-y red that is both glamorous, and eye catching! The limited edition is a worthy addition to your makeup bag./ #73 "Sun Caramel" seems to be a mid-intensity good for most complexions.

but there's also
The Prisme Sun Visage Mat $45.00 featuring less "glow" and more bronze (but it also has a slight shimmer) with four squares of coordinated color (two blush, two bronze/contour). The compact features the Givenchy logo this time, on copper, metallic background. I like #13 "Sun Mango" a (3 beige/bronze 1 peach) and #14 "Sun Cinnamon" works for deeper completions.

One of my favorite products now is the Le Prisme Visage Mat Soft Compact Face Powder $45.00 for a natural result. Even if you don't wear foundation, a light dusting of this lovely, silky, easy to blend powder will give your face a more polished look. Atomized particles create really silky and soft powder that has a matte finish, but not one that's mask-like. I particularly liked #83 "Peach Plummets" mostly nude with peach) and #84 "Beige Mousseline" (mostly nude with pink) Get one of the sun-kissed shades (e.g. "Toffee Taffeta" or #85 "Amber Organza") and if you're a paleface, you can (carefully) use it as a bronzer, too. The compact features the Givenchy logo on a pink, metallic background. I don't think I ever want to be without it, again!
There are even more colors and products to oogle and adore. Which of these will YOU be craving this Spring and Summer? Visit your Favorite Givenchy makeup counter or Sephora, or visit the Givenchy web site.
